1/2 AA battery for EL-USB loggers
This small LS14250 battery from Saft (also known as a 1/2 AA battery) has a voltage of 3.6 V, a capacity of 1200 mAh, and has a Li-SOCl2 composition.
Batteries with a Li-SOCl2 (lithium-thionyl chloride) composition have a very high energy density and a very low self-discharge rate. This allows you to store these batteries for a longer period of time.
In addition, this type of battery can be used in extreme temperatures, down to -60°C and 85°C. This means you're not limited in the conditions under which you can use this battery. Because of these properties, Li-SOCl2 batteries are primarily used in devices that require little energy over long periods of time, such as smoke detectors, alarm systems, measuring equipment, and backup systems.
The Saft LS14250 battery measures 14 x 25 mm. It cannot be charged.
