All laboratory refrigerators and freezers with explosion-proof interior are tested in accordance with EU directive 94/9 EC (ATEX 95). Classification II 3G Ex nA II T6 makes the devices suitable for the storage of explosive and highly flammable substances in closed containers.

The main adjustments are:

  • Spark-free interior
  • No opening from the interior to the exterior
  • Separate defrost water collection tray for collecting defrost water
  • Interior components are made of glass or plastic (coated)
  • To prevent sparks, metal parts have an earth connection
